Ensure you have download version 1.34 or greater of the latest Jabra Solemate firmware from the official Jabra Solemate support site [2]. On the right hand side of the speaker locate the power button, there are 3 settings - off, on and bluetooth. Starting from the off position push the power switch all the way to the top and hold it until the indicator light turns flashing blue and you hear the announcement "Go ahead and connect me, use the Bluetooth setting on your phone".
  2. After entering the home screen on the Samsung Galaxy press the Apps icon then scroll to the the gear icon labelled Settings.
  3. Under the connections section make sure that the Bluetooth switch is turned to the on position.
  4. Touch Bluetooth and choose Jabra Solemate from the list of Available devices to connect to the Samsung. Afterwards the Jabra Solemate will appear highlighted in blue in the list of Paired devices with the words 'Connected to phone audio'.
  5. The Jabra Solemate and the Samsung Galaxy S4 are now ready to be used to play music. Any app on the phone which plays music will play on the Jabra Solemate. In the future you can turn on the Jabra Solemate and it will automatically connect to the Samsung Galaxy S4 without needing to pair again, just turn both devices on and wait for the "Solemate is connected" announcement.

  2. With the speaker turned off locate the line in port on the Jabra Solemate. This is located on the right of the speaker below the power switch.
  3. Connect the headset jack on the Samsung Galaxy S4 to the line in on the Jabra Solemate port using a 3.5mm stereo male to 3.5mm stereo male cable [3].
  4. Any music from the Samsung Galaxy S4 will stop playing on the Samsung speaker and start playing on the Jabra Solemate instead until you remove the 3.5mm stereo male to 3.5mm stereo male cable.
